Discussing the role of university libraries in supporting open and online education

← Back to list of events

The rise of open and online education could lead to a significant role change for the university libraries. What is their (potential) contribution towards the publication, (re)use, storage and adaptation of open and online educational material within higher education institutions? What could be a good role division between library staff and teaching staff?

Surfnet is working on an inventory among the libraries of Dutch institutions of higher education. We’re asking the heads of library how they address open and online education at this moment, and which future developments they envisage. Are there any good practices yet that we might share? In a real-life meeting on March 20th, we’ll discuss the findings of the inventory and talk about next steps.

Event open to invited guests only.
