Panel discussion “How much is education open in Croatia?”

University Computing Centre (SRCE) actively supports the principles of open access and works on raising of awareness of importance of open education and OER in Croatia. This year SRCE will contribute to the Open Education Week 2016 with organization of the panel discussion “How much is education open in Croatia?”
Panel discussion will be held in SRCE on March 9 at 11 a.m. and will be live streamed (via system for webinar) and recorded. Address is: https://connect.srce.hr/oa-oer/.

The purpose of this event is to open dialogue in education community, especially academic, on importance of openness, sharing, reusing of educational resources of high quality and to build the “openness” culture.
The topics of the panel discussion will be:

  •  the idea of open education in Croatia
  •  the availability of OER in Croatia – are teachers using them? How much? Where do they find them
  • are we ready to invest in the development of open educational resources – repositories of educational resources which will be open to everyone under open licenses?
