Learning Content for Smartphones and Tablets (LIST)

Mobile devices have become the primary means used to create and maintain an online presence today. According to UNESCO (2013), mobile technology is changing the way we live, and it is even beginning to change the way we learn. Mobile learning is part of the new learning landscape created by the availability of technologies that support flexible and accessible personal learning and education. The purpose of this project, the Learning Content for Smartphones and Tablets (LIST) is to provide teachers and managers of adult learning with knowledge about these solutions and the practical skills needed to apply them.

This webinar will explore the results of a Scandinavian project on how courses for adult learners were developed and tested for training purposes. The aim of the webinar is to describe and to discuss how open educational resources can be applied in mobile learning. Mobile devices offer a wide range of uses in learning, such as GPS features and augmented reality, which allow the use of the physical environment as a learning material. The project is midways, results are not fully achieved yet, so the aim of this proposal is to disseminate the project outline, its piloting, and to discuss and get feedback for the further process, both for this project but also for further development in using OER for mobile learning.

The Project is funded by Nordplus Voksen2016, the Nordic Council of Ministers. The duation of the project is 08. 2016 – 10.2017. The partners are DOF, Lillebaelt, Denmark, The Swedish Association for Distance Education, Sweden, and Conexus AS, Norway. Read more about the project at the partners webpages:
