OER Pilot Project Showcase
← Back to list of eventsThe University of Calgary Open Educational Resources (OER) pilot project is a student-driven, grassroots, bottom-up initiative with the goal of reducing the costs of education to students through the development of affordable, high-quality open educational teaching and learning materials. An open educational resource at the University of Calgary is peer reviewed, researched, academic content that has been made available via an open license such as a Creative Commons License.
The pilot project has awarded ten grants to academic staff to replace traditional learning materials with OER in their University of Calgary courses. The OER showcase is an opportunity for the University of Calgary community to learn about the pilot projects and other OER projects across campus.
