The workshop will highlight the impact of openness on policies, at European level, at institution level, how teachers and students can influence this impact. After several years of implementation we will look into how open educational resources (OER) and massive open online courses (MOOCs) can be accessed, used and integrated into all levels of education and in company training. Practical examples of use and integration of mobile learning, of augmented and virtual reality in education, of open research and science, and of open and digital in culture and heritage. Several actions of encouraging girls and women to study STEM as well as the CoderDojo movement are included. New developments as the tackling of fake news with open education and how blockchain influences education are also included. With 9 speakers of international level, the workshop addresses academics, students, teachers of undergraduate education, specialists in training companies, IT or HR departments.
Participation is open and free, presentations will be held in Romanian and English and certificates of participation will be issued.
The Workshop is organized by the E-Learning Center of the Politehnica University of Timisoara, with the support of EDEN European Distance and e-Learning Network and IEEE Romania.
