Open Educational Resources: What, Why, Where, How?

← Back to list of events
Open educational resources (OER) are freely accessible, openly licensed text, media, and other assets that are useful for teaching, learning, and assessment. We will discuss what makes an educational resource open, why OER benefit students and instructors, where instructors can find existing OER, and how they can be used and produced. We will focus on open textbooks. This workshop is sponsored by the Faculty of Arts at the University of Calgary as part of the Arts Teaching and Learning workshop series.
