The Centre for Flexible Learning is hosting a series of activities during the week of 4-8 March to celebrate Open Education Week 2019. The first of these events is a public seminar on the theme “Making OER Stick”. The guest speaker for the public seminar is Professor Rory McGreal (Athabasca University, Canada) who is also UNESCO/International Council for Open and Distance Education Chair in Open Educational Resources (OER).
Abstract: This talk will focus on the importance of learning for the digital economy, elearning, and mobile learning, as well as the need for open educational resources in the context of fair dealing under common law practices.
