Exporting OER to the Masses – A Critical Evaluation of Distributing OER at Scale

This presentation will address a personal perspective of the state of affairs of the OER community including where we are, where we are going, and what needs to be addressed. We will provide a comprehensive overview of the rational underpinning the construction of the LibreTexts, the issues in operating at scale, and disseminating a million pageviews daily. An overview of the export options available to hosted textbooks including PDF, common cartridge, print bookstore and the expectations for full EPUB3 output (PeBL books), and the LibreTexts-in-a-Box and -in-a-phone efforts.
